BOAT PAINTING
At Pamlico Marine & Trailer we have over 20
continuous years of boat bottom painting experience and we do the job
right.
Any power boat under 26’ can be raised on
our electric lift and painted.
We have a procedure for re-coating
previously painted bottoms that assures effectiveness and longevity:
Re-tape, sand, clean, add tie coat, top
coat w/2 layers of bottom paint.
New and unpainted bottoms must be prepped
and protected as follows:
Splash the boat and mark the water line,
level and tape hull, sand, clean, apply 2 coats of 2-part epoxy barrier
coat to seal gel coat, top coat w/2 layers of bottom paint.
Our technicians will also prep and paint I/O lower
units, O/B lower units, trim tabs and transducers.
We use the correct primer and paint for
metal surfaces and we also do pontoon sponsons.
We will help you decide which type of paint is
correct for your mooring and use:
Hard/slick, ablative, high copper, slime
resistance or compatible with trailering.
Our bottom jobs last and our customers are proud of the way their boats look. Please remember that you will need to arrange the work ahead of time since it is dependent on weather and temperature.
